1. Information We Collect
SEO Descriptions AI collects the following information when you install and use the app:
- Shopify store domain and access token (required for OAuth authentication)
- Product titles, types, and tags (used solely to generate descriptions)
- Usage count per billing period (to enforce plan limits)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information exclusively to:
- Authenticate your Shopify store and maintain your session
- Fetch products that need descriptions from your store
- Send product data to Anthropic's Claude API to generate SEO descriptions
- Apply approved descriptions back to your Shopify store
- Track monthly usage for plan enforcement
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Shopify API — to read and update your product catalog
- Anthropic Claude API — to generate product descriptions. Product titles and categories are sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's Privacy Policy applies.
4. Data Storage
Session tokens and usage records are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. We do not store your product descriptions permanently — they are stored temporarily until you apply or dismiss them.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties beyond the services listed above. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
Your session data is retained while the app is installed in your store. Upon uninstallation, your session and usage data are deleted within 30 days.
